"The Boss Player beat is one of people's favorite erie shockwave. When I throw on the instrumental, the bells due something to rappers... they start wantin to freestyle a sick 24 bars non stop! The kick has that customary rap pimp walk rhythm with a limp. You can hear samples of my voice throughout the background saying "Yea & What". Nujam & I came up with the lyrics and decided we were gonna call these boys out for makin weak repetitive tracks. The first verse is like my first real chance to rock the gangsta feel. I had to show em the definition of Tupac's coined term, Boss Player. The character is thorougly described later in the song. He address men & women to let them know what its going to be in his world. We mentioned a few Industry names cuz we ain't scared to challenge their music or the people's belief in their music. I'm doin it for many reasons. And you know I gotta rep for Pac so I threw him a shout at the end of the 1st verse."
